From October 25th to November 1st 2023 National Care Leaver Week is held in the UK.

A very difficult week for many Care Leavers. 

It's an opportunity to reflect on the experiences of care-experienced young people and raise awareness of support and opportunities on offer. 

I was approached by Tara the face behind Day Dot Journals and asked whether I would share a snippet of my Foster Care journey.

I was not going to let this opportunity pass since I believe that it is so important to share your mental health struggles and personal stories.

I wrote about the struggles during and after my time in foster care.
