I had the honour to be appear on Newyddion Ni for Care Day 2024 and to have an article written about my care journey. This was such an amazing opportunity and allowed me to really share my journey far and wide.

Care Leaders List 2023

I have been following the Care Leaver Legacy page on Instagram for a little while now and I love everything it is and stands for.
It is a place where care experienced young adults aka Care Leavers can be a part of a loving and inclusive family.
Being a Care Leaver has not been easy, the mental battle is daily and that is why I use my platform to share my story. It feels incredible to be recognised for the awareness you are making. I feel honoured to be a part of the Care Leaders 2023 List and I am going to continue to grow, glow and raise awareness about the struggles of being a Care Leaver.

Day Dot Journal Blog

From October 25th to November 1st 2023 National Care Leaver Week is held in the UK. A very difficult week for many Care Leavers.
It's an opportunity to reflect on the experiences of care-experienced young people and raise awareness of support and opportunities on offer.
I was approached by Tara the face behind Day Dot Journals and asked whether I would share a snippet of my Foster Care journey. I was not going to let this opportunity pass since I believe that it is so important to share your mental health struggles and personal stories.
I wrote about the struggles during and after my time in foster care. It is a heart hitting read <3

Foster Care Fortnight 2023

'Foster Care Fortnight is The Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and show how foster care transforms lives.' Foster Care Fortnight 2023 took place from 15-28th of May 2023. During this Fortnight my foster care story was shared on Hansh. The aim was to raise awareness about some of the struggles that young people go through when growing up in the foster care system. Everyone involved with this process were incredible delicate and expressed a huge interest in getting my story shared. On a personal level I was extremely proud that I managed to share my experiences in the welsh language, it is not something I have spoken about in Welsh before.

Voices From Care - Multimedia Assistant

Voices From Care Cymru works and campaigns for the rights of young people within the care system.
I joined Voices From Care when I was about 13/14 years old and I met so many young people in the care system there. 9 years later, I am still in contact with the charity. I have done some amazing things through the Voices From Care Charity - I will list a few below -
1. I met Michael Sheen (The Voices From Care Patron) in a successful attempt to express the struggles Care Leavers face and why Voices From Care was such a key figure to my life growing up (2021)
2. I hosted Care Day 2021 with the five children's commissioners of the UK (2021)
3. I featured on BBC Breakfast (2021)
4. Featured in a video in the Future Generation X Change Event (2021) - Expressed my visions of the wider care experience young people experience, also, the wider care communities visions of and for the future.
5. Created a short film on cooperate parents for the local authorities (2013)
